Karl Rove: "Damn the Reasoning; Full Speed Ahead!"Preparing and implementing a plan are two different things
"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war"
That's White House avdisor Karl Rove talking. He's trying to say that the conservatives have done the correct thing since 9/11. They have prepared for war, while the liberals incorrectly chose to "prepare indictments".
First off, everybody prepared for war. It's only been four years- does the White House actually expect us to forget how we all felt and reacted to 9/11?
Secondly, does the White House truly believe that the rule of law should be suspended because of 9/11? Are indictments now meaningless, and will justice forevermore be dispensed via depleted uranium shells? Has the totally misguided money pit of Iraq taught them nothing?
Surely, the Conservatives prepared for war. They were preparing for war long before 9/11. In fact, they were looking for an "excuse" to go to war. Unfortunately, it was with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. The White House took us into this Iraq war based on false data, without a stabilization plan or an exit strategy. We had no idea how much it would cost, how long it would take, and when we could expect to see any lessening of international terror. It's been over two years, and we still have no idea. All that we do know is that international terror is increasing.
Now Karl Rove is attempting to suggest that a little forethought, maybe some legal consideration of international law, perhaps a little attention to a viable plan, would have been a waste of time. All that we really needed to do was "prepare for war."
Dems Say Rove Should Apologize or Resign.
