Howard Dean Speaks His Mind
...while Rippups fear and loathe

Howard Dean called the Republicans a white Christian party. He said they all behave the same, and they all look the same. He stated that the Republican leadership has never made an honest living in their lives.

...and oh, how the GOP choirboys whined about it!

Let's examine some of the charges. Are the Republicans a white Christian party? Answer: Of Course! They proudly wear their Moral Majority badge, they declare non-Christian religions to be based on hate and evil, and rarely, if ever, do blacks support their candidates. 82% of Republicans are white Christians. That's a higher percentage than the amount of beef found in beef hotdogs! Actually, that's an unfair analogy; Rippups get much plumper and redder that any hotdog when you turn the heat up on them. Oddly enough, we often find ourselves swallowing the vitriol that oozes from them both around every Fourth of July, as a faux celebration of American patriotism. Hold on- now I'm getting hungry for picnic fare, but the mental image of a sweaty Dick Cheney, two greasy hot dogs in each hand, crowding the keg, and turning away the non-white Christian neighbors from his "Member's Only" July 4th barbecue is giving me the shivers.

Republican Representative Eric Cantor of Virginia called the comments "Howard Dean's games of division and hate." Woah now- has the GOP suddenly jumped onto their own circus bandwagon of political correctness, and is now considering the label of "white Christian" to be offensive and hateful? Clearly, there might be some embarrassment in being grouped together with other white Christian groups like the Nazis or the Ku Klux Klan, but come on, if the YMCA can live with a Christian label, why are the Republicans now rejecting their own platform and constituency?

In the words of David Crosby, I think they owe it to themselves to let their "Freak" flag fly.
